Common Questions

Antique Restoration FAQ

  • Will restoration reduce the value of my antique?

It depends on the piece. For furniture that's used daily, sympathetic restoration typically adds value. For museum-quality collector pieces,  we'll give you our honest read either way.

  • Can you match the original finish exactly?

We aim to get as close as possible. Antique finishes age in ways that can't be perfectly replicated, but our glazing and toning techniques produce results that blend naturally with the original character of the piece.

  • My piece has sentimental value is it in good hands?

We've been trusted with heirloom pieces for over 30 years. We treat every piece as if it's coming out of our own family's home. John works hands-on with every restoration.
